the USA is ready for a black president, female president, but not a GLBT president. just too many people on both the left and right would not vote for a candidate that is GLBT.

Actually they would. They just wouldn't vote for an atheist.

Atheists, Muslims See Most Bias as Presidential Candidates

Considering that gays and lesbians aren't even treated as equal American citizens, no.

No.

Sad that someone's personal life would be judged prejudicially, but it would be at this time.

Heck yes.

I would vote for the man (or woman) if they were a fiscal conservative who wanted to renegotiate current trade agreements, cut corporate taxes, initiate a corporate consumption tax, enforce our immigration laws, enact a balanced budget amendment, expand the use of coal, encourage more drilling, and support the Constitution.

Who cares whether they are gay or not?

Only a closeted Republican ***** has a chance. Historians are still divided over whether James Buchanan (15th President, 1857-61) was gay.

I'm a liberal, but America is def. not ready for a gay President, nor Atheist, I don't even think we were ready for a black President to be honest with you but we've managed. (this is coming from a 20 year old, african-american)

When you say a 'gay president', are you referring to a flaming homo, a guy who is in love with another guy, a guy who hangs out in gay bars...

Or would you include a guy who is perceived as a straight guy and very few know he dabbles... ummm, in the arts?

Cause either way, whoever he is, he won't be the first.

And would this potential "gay" president be doing the pitching or catching ?! I think that would be important to know before casting my vote.
