None of the criminals on Wall Street were punished for the economic collapse. And no one seems to care.

Yes. I agree, things will continue to stay the same, no matter who wins the elections.

The fact that so many Americans think things will be different, says a whole lot about their level of intelligence...

Peace,
brian

Anyone who has not been asleep for the last 25 years knows that there is little difference between Dems and Repubs.. very little. Very little has changed since '08 yet we now have a DEM in the white house.. how can that be?? little difference..

As far as policy - No. The people in charge will continue to dictate their agenda to whoever sits in the office.
It is just a personal choice of who you want to hear lie, and sell out your and your children’s future for the next 4 years.
It is basically just a personality contest.

Well Brian, I agree, but as you know the politicians and Wall Street are in bed with each other.

The day to day activities likely aren't going to be much different between Obama and Romney. Both are in the tank for big business. Both are not really serious about tackling the debt/deficit (though Obama seems slightly more serious, since his approach doesn't begin by digging the hole trillions of dollars deeper).

But that does not mean it doesn't matter who wins the election. The fact is, had McCain won, precisely nothing would have been done on healthcare. That's something that destroys thousands of lives and it needs to be fixed, but Republicans would not have pushed it. But the biggest issue is the supreme court. I don't want the court stacked with even more hard right freedom-hating bigots. A president lasts four, maybe eight years, and it's relatively easy to undo whatever ill they bring about. A Supreme Court filled with extremists has effects that last for decades, perhaps centuries.

And I thought this massive point was going to be entirely overlooked. That both Obama and Romney are financed by the same sources, ensures a relative status quo for the continued pillaging by the Wall Street and Corporate Gangsters, no matter which is elected. However, the ONE distinction between these two is the need for each one to service their respective faction of followers in order to protect the overall illusion of difference.

With several members of the Supreme Court at an advanced age, the next president will likely be tasked with appointing at least one, and possibly two or even three members of the supreme court, and because these appointments are for life, this is far more important than which sock puppet sits in the oval office for the next 4 years, catering to the banker's every need and desire.

Now, Jason, I find it thoroughly disgusting .... or maybe appalling would be a better term, that you'd refer to conservative judges as "hard right freedom hating bigots". The level of ignorance and cognitive dissonance necessary to hold such a view is quite inexcusable, and should be grounds for terminating your citizenship and voting privileges ... although under these criminal left wingers, non-citizens may present an even greater danger to our electoral process, since they tend to vote more than once ... but I digress ...

The reality is, JASON, (and to everyone else you might be reading along), possibly one and certainly two more Supreme Court appointment such as Clinton's choice .. Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, or Obama's Sotomayer and Kagan, will eliminate any possibility that the American people will ever wrest the reins of power away from these constitution hating, America hating, Freedom hating leftist totalitarian hobgoblin activist judges, and we will be assured of the total dismantling of the last remaining vestiges of the constitution before our very eyes, and the United states of America will become a footnote in the history books of the tried and failed experiment of liberty, plunging us, and likely the rest of the world into the darkest of dark ages of totalitarianism.

How anyone can think that the likes of Ginsberg protects freedom while a judge like Scalia destroys it, is evidence of a diseased mind that shouldn't be allowed in public without adult supervision. Ginsberg will tell you herself that she doesn't much care for the constitution, and that alone should have had her demonically possessed arse tossed in the hoosegow long ago! How we have allowed such a despicable cockroach like her to infest the Supreme Court in the first place is hard to fathom ... but I'm sure it must have something to do with too many Americans believing the crap you believe. That anyone could think it a good idea to allow someone who is openly and unapologetically hostile to the very constitution that they swear an oath to defend .... well ... the English language is void of the appropriate terms to define such stupidity. I suppose the creators of the language didn't think it possible for ignorance to extend that deeply, so they left that assumed impossibility un-addressed insofar as adjectives are concerned.

We have very little time left to restore America to a country of lawful behavior, and no matter how battered and bruised, the constitution, or what's left of her, is Liberty's only hope. And whether the current living generations are willing to fight to force these criminals to offer some sacrament to the constitution, however illusory, the least we can do is not allow these criminals to openly disregard it, which is precisely what will occur with one more leftist-communist authoritarian placed on the Supreme Court.

It cannot be allowed, under any circumstances. It is the main point and the only point which gives any relative meaning to who is elected President for the next 4 years ... all other considerations are immaterial.
