Do they not have rights in Canada? I mean I know we don't hear,all the time I read about people being harassed and arrested for filming arrests..

hey Doug, violating someones charter rights with illegal search and seizure is not appropriate action. If a police officer or "caugh" security guard demand you do something that is not legal, you do not need to comply.
And no amount of screaming "stop resisting" while illegally detaining someone makes it right.
Know your rights people.
