The military is not your enemy. Just saying.

Move on. This thread crashed and burned as soon as it was created.

This should be a major news story...but the MSM will keep any negative news about their creation burried at least until November 7th. The general is a man of honor...something that can not be said for our current commander in chief.

Keep in mind that every major deployed U.S. aircraft carrier (including the Stennis) carries nuclear weapons in a reinforced, secure hold, with only one door that is guarded 24/7 by Marines with live weapons. And of course has aircraft capable of carrying those nuclear weapons.

The idea of an admiral at sea who might disobey orders (especially an order to NOT fire), is not to be tolerated.
OTOH, if this is what happened, then what orders, exactly, did the admiral receive from Washington?

Was he told to "stand down", which means to land all aircraft, take the rockets off the rails and bullets out of the guns, and stay away from Libya?

Or was he simply told not to actively interdict the battle zone, but to stay nearby?

If the latter, then it would not be disobedience of orders to have the planes armed, fueled, and ready, with pilots sitting in them on the catapults, and the task group steaming at full speed directly at Benghazi, waiting in case Washington later issued an order to launch.

But if it were the former, then such "readiness" would indeed be disobedience of orders.

What was the admiral told to do?

I read news stories in the New York Times written by reporters (authors) who have shown bias many times....should I discount everything that they print?

WTH? Shaun Hannity hasn't yet picked up on these new media stories so he can keep the Benghazi issue alive?

First of all....the name is SEAN.

Secondly, why are you so worried about this Benghazi scandal if you are so sure Obama didn't do anything wrong?

Methinks you protest too much.

If you were the family of one of those murdered by terrorists, wouldn't you like to know how and why it happened? Why your family member didn't deserve the protection? Why when they begged for help it was denied?

No....I guess you'd just blame a filmmaker instead.

Thanks so much for making me laugh AT you....and for the bump!

Nice how when Liberals can't mount a rebuttal to a topic, they put on the tin foil hats and make themselves look so foolish.
