far as i heard from people on the ground, some nyc subway stations are still completely flooded, and when i mean completely, i mean completely, its hard to imagine, its like outta hollywood or someth, its prolly a fake pic, but it still looks like this in reality:

OR, he saw the effects of other natural disasters in the region, most recently Irene, and decided that there had to be a better response no matter when a disaster happened.
I'm republician, not going to bash Christie, for being a caring concern Man, for caring about the needs of the people of his State before all else.
When you witness and see destruction all around you, the politics of the matter don't seem to matter as does the people around you.
The Climate of N.J. has changed maybe for ever.
People died, lost homes, areas, destroyed beyond recognition, i don't blame the Man at all. I only hope in this same circumstance, a Democrat, would have the same guts to walk in Chrisitie's shoes as he did. There are times, Politics is a good second to anything else. As the storm was and is.

I used to live in NJ, and moved South to take a job just in time for Hurricane Isaac. I didn't much care for Christie's policies while I lived there, but he is handling this disaster in a refreshing way, as is Obama. I wouldn't make fun of Christie's weight because there's no need to engage in ad hominem attacks if you have sound criticisms of policy. But people shouldn't be surprised about Christie's concern about NJ; Christie also handled Irene well, as well as the freaky late October snowstorm that knocked out power all over NJ (and other states) about exactly a year ago. We were without power for five days after that storm, but the power companies were really working as fast as they could--some folks were without power for weeks because the tree damage was so extensive.
The point is that Christie, Bloomberg, Cuomo, and Obama are doing their jobs by putting partisan politics aside. My heart breaks when I look at the pictures of the shore where we used to go and all the places in NYC I used to explore. To everyone in the region, you are in my thoughts and my heart is still in NY/NJ.
If Christie were ever to run for national office, you can rest assured that all of the liberals praising him now would be engaged in the same type of personal attacks and smear campaign they're running against Romney. We'd be hearing about his weight, his tax returns, his hatred of teachers and ever other despicable attack the rabid left wing nut jobs had in their arsenal.
The only time LWNJs praise Republicans is when they're not running against Democrats. Once it comes down to someone like Christie verus any Democrat, the liberal sheep will be engaged in the petty politics of personal destruction like they always are. Just look at Obama's gutter campaign for proof of that.
true
i consider myself independent even tho im def more left, but im open minded and see myself supporting a repub, if hes good, i pick common sense instead of parties, i dont get how people support the GOP right now tho, like you said it seems like a party full of backwards ass old fashioned ass weird ass white people, they blasted erything obama offered or did, they ll never get independents or moderates with that kinda behavior
No, if Christie ever runs for national office, you'll be buying the left's lies and smear attacks as usual. Don't kid yourself.
By the way, Christie endorsed Romney. Kind of ruins your narrative about him being a "backwards ass old fashioned ass weird white person." Let me guess - you're black. Big shocker.
This is an easy answer ... Christie - smart, conservatives stupid.
make sense now? Glad to help clear things up.
