Even a major news network chimed in on this story this morning, WARNING: I know, it's the "hated" FOX news so those of you who dislike/disbelieve them please plug your ears now.

They reported this story then went on to say that it's not the case, that many non-union companies have been seen operating in NJ so they didn't know why/how this could've been stated.

Statement DIRECTLY FROM THE POWER COMPANY
Non-union utility crew from Alabama in N.J. to help restore power is told to go home, report says | NJ.com

Quote:
Jersey Central Power & Light spokesman Ron Morano said in an interview with News 12 New Jersey that JCP&L has welcomed all out-of-state crews.

"We have not turned away any help," he said. "Absolutely not."
So I hope OP will stop spreading false information. As people from POC are now going and posting in the New Jersey forums about this BS story as well.

It's just a reflection of the insanity that is liberals, their ideology always comes first. We already hear rumors of lib environmentalists being opposed to rebuilding some ares along the coast.

The story is NOT TRUE.

This thread is a reflection of the insanity that is the right wing, clinging to unsubstantiated stories and repeating them over and over as gospel, even when they are proven wrong.

There are already people slamming the Gov office, local offices, power companies with tweets, emails and calls about this load of BS. Just what they need during this situation.

#njsandy Getting bombarded by questions asking, "How come you're not reporting the story about the non-union workers from Alabama getting turned away from Seaside Heights?" Here's why: All media reports that are currently circulating are only going off one source (WAFF.com). Jersey Central Power & Light spokesman Ron Morano told News12 that JCP&L has accepted help from all crews. "We have not turned away any help," he said. "Absolutely not." Please always consider the source!

I'm not a lib and I agree with this. Why do we have to build right on the damn ocean? Look what happens!
