Of course, because jobs were added.

And now that it is clear that last month wasn't a fluke - that companies really are hiring - more people are, and will continue to be, encouraged to start looking again.

Everyone here is looking at merely spin. Fact remains, if the media would do it correctly is that 171,000 people were simply added to payrolls. There are 3.6 million available jobs according to BLS. Problem, populace isn't qualified to do them. It really is a misnomer about the actual availability of jobs. Granted some areas will have more than others depending on the occupation. People need someone to blame for their misfortune.

Ignores what facts?

Last month, this forum was filled with posts that stated that the only reason that the overall UE number went down was because people stopped looking for work.

Change = Increase - Decrease

If Change > 0, GAIN
If Change < 0, LOSS
