I remember the hugging and mugging for the camera but I'm drawing a blank on what President Obama did for the Sandy victims. Tell me.

Maybe about the same thing Bush did for Katrina victims.

Well, dagnabit. It's just like the Katrina response. There he goes, again.

Oh! He did have his pic taken, furrowed brow, tough words and all. This has become for "costume de rigueur" from the great poser.

I think he did what every President is expected to do. Make a "show up" visit to make the victims feel that they are being looked out for, get together with the local authorities (he did that with Christie) and get briefed on a full assessment of the local damage, and then provide authorization to FEMA to assist with the recovery efforts.

Pray tell, what did you THINK he should do that a President is supposed to do?

It's called preparation. Maybe you missed it? Or maybe because RWNJs don't send this kind of thing out in chain emails and you don't know how to search for your own news it was too hard for you to finjd?

He ST*U and went back to his campaign so real people who work could get to doing their jobs.

That was a positive.

... and he didn't blame it on someone else.

Preparations would have involved stationing tree removal and power technicians on Long Island and throughout the tri-state to get power back to the devastated areas. Preparations would have been setting up temporary housing to evacuate to for those who have lost everything. Preparation would have been getting generators to the gas stations so they could have begun pumping gas immediately following the storm.

I was blessed to have escaped any damage as I live up on a hill and was shocked that we didn't lose any trees, but the main road into my village is GONE. I didn't get power back until Saturday afternoon. I have not seen the National Guard or the Red Cross the way we did back in 1992 with the Nor'Easter.

ONE MORE DAY! ROMNEY/RYAN!

Nothing different.
And Stanten Island and others are still going through it.
Christie was on TV basically saying it's ridiculous that anyone would be trying to twist his comments into an endorsement. And that was right after.... days later now and we're seeing things are no better than after any other natural disaster.

He didn't cut funding or do away with FEMA, Sandy's victims will thank him for that at the polls
