OMG! Bush got away with killing 4,500 soldiers and the "liberal media" gave him a free pass. They asked no questions when it started and they asked no questions when it ended. Nobody sees Romney pulling ahead BTW.
Start another thread on the subject, it's not the subject of this one.
You've got to be ****ing kidding me. Do you mean this quote:
"No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for."
You realize that in this quote Obama is referring to the attack as an act of terror, don't you?
Read it again in the context of the whole presentation.
Also while you're there look for the apology to offending anyone's faith/religion too.
A nod to the video that they tried to represent as causing this.
I followed your link and listened to the audio, and the transcript is not complete, it should read:
KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya attack,...
OBAMA: Right.
KROFT: ... do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?
OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans. And we are going to be working with the Libyan government to make sure that we bring these folks to justice, one way or the other.
0bama acknowledged the fact that he did not call it a terrorist attack. It might surprise democrats, but I think the president made the right call here. He was right to reserve making a public statement as to whether is was a terrorist attack, because I doubt he had enough face time with his intel chiefs to make an affirmative statement. But then he blew all of that out of the water by letting all his people make affirmative statements by blaming the movie.
There's a stronger proof of a flat out lie not only on a continuing basis as it were but in the debate as well.
To the U.S. citizens on all counts.
Funny, I heard an out take from an Obama speech, from yesterday I think it was or at least the last couple of days.
Obama said, "I tell teh truth, you know I tell the truth!".
Maybe he didn't think the fine denizens of CD were going to be parsing his every word. Maybe it IS true that information was sketchy at first.
Every word this man has said has had attention to it and for good reason, he's a threat to our country but you won't even consider taking a look at that.
What do you think Obama was calling Benghazi with his reference to an "act of terror"?
Now you backpedal. As my sainted mother would have said, "You can't un-say something"!
I have been consistent, the president did not come out and say that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack, it's people like you who have been trying to cut & splice his words in that Rose Garden speech, to make him say it was. The president was careful not to characterize the Benghazi attack as a terrorist attack, because he did not feel he all the information available in only 10 or so hours after the attack was ove, he even agreed with Kroft about this point in the video.
KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya Attack, (Obama interrupts)
OBAMA" Right
KROFT: (Kroft continued) ... do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?
OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans.

This is probably the biggest lie I've ever seen on this board.
People, like whatshisname above, have called me a liar in this thread, because I said the president was not calling Benghazi a terror attack, and yet here we have Obama agreeing that he went out of his way "to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya attack."

Even here, he only refers to it as an "attack." The president purposely did not call Benghazi a terror attack, he specifically went out of his way not to say it was a terror attack.
The key to [Democrats'] strategy is conflating two very different programs: Operation Fast & Furious and a Bush era ATF initiative known as “Operation Wide Receiver.” In the questions from Judiciary Committee Democrats (principally, Senators Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer — there may have been others but, again, I didn’t see the entire hearing), it emerged that Wide Receiver began in 2006, when Alberto Gonzales was the Bush administration attorney general...Wide Receiver actually involved not gun-walking but controlled delivery. Unlike gun-walking, which seems (for good reason) to have been unheard of until Fast & Furious, controlled delivery is a very common law enforcement tactic. Basically, the agents know the bad guys have negotiated a deal to acquire some commodity that is either illegal itself (e.g., heroin, child porn) or illegal for them to have/use (e.g., guns, corporate secrets). The agents allow the transfer to happen under circumstances where they are in control — i.e., they are on the scene conducting surveillance of the transfer, and sometimes even participating undercover in the transfer. As soon as the transfer takes place, they can descend on the suspects, make arrests, and seize the commodity in question — all of which makes for powerful evidence of guilt. Senator Schumer’s drawing of an equivalence between “tracing” in a controlled-delivery situation and “tracing” in Fast & Furious is laughable. In a controlled delivery firearms case, guns are traced in the sense that agents closely and physically follow them — they don’t just note the serial numbers or other identifying markers. The agents are thus able to trace the precise path of the guns from, say, American dealers to straw purchasers to Mexican buyers.
Another crucial distinction: The Bush-era gun tracing program known as "Wide Receiver" was executed in concert with the Mexican government, which was fully involved at every step of the process. "Fast & Furious" was conceived and launched without the knowledge of the Mexican government -- and its citizens have paid a very dear price as a result.
I can't believe how worked up you all get over one word. What difference if he used the word terror or not? My guess is that he knows a lot more about this situation than all of you armchair warriors. There is probably a lot more to this story that he isn't at liberty to tell at this time.

Nope not Obama. How bout, there is a lot more to tell, that Obama, wishes not to indulge all the details to us.
He knows. Wishes not to incriminate himself. And the dumb a---- in his administration, that will also lie to cover their butt's.
And such a bad liar too, most of us were able to see right thru the damning lies. Obama does what is best for Obama. Obvious, he did not care enough about us, to tell us the truth, and he knew, so save all excuses.
CBS withholding this information, is just as bad as those who were lying to us about the real truth of the matter. They are no better, what are they trying to prove now.
