Obama was interviewed during the football game. He said we "went" through a tough economy and that we've "bounced back." He doesn't even know what's happening in the economy.

He said you shouldn't get distracted by your own "hype."

He said politics is a lot like sports. If you lose, you're a "bum." If you win you're a "god."

This guy is clueless and is terrible without a teleprompter.

How do we bounce back with a job market that is 2.5 million jobs smaller than Jan 2009 and many jobs now part time instead of full time?

I think it's pretty clear he has no idea how jobs are created out there in the real world.

But a lot of the jobs that were available before are jobs that were unsustainable. We can't just keep building houses and more houses and create bubbles, we need to sustain.

You can blame the democrats for making mortgages easier to obtain but they did this when house prices were affordable and not heavily inflated in places like Stockton Califorinia or parts of Florida when houses were selling for 300k in 2004

Who's he trying to convince? Those of us living in this economy know it's only getting worse. We're dealing with it every single day. I haven't seen it get better for anyone I know personally. Only worse.

Here's the thing though...

He's just smart enough to know that his staunch supporters are so damned DUMB, that they will buy, and happily swallow the obvious truckload of bullsh*t that comes flying out of this man's mouth at every turn.

It's a moot point. He can leave a load in their breakfast cereal, and they'd ask for a second helping.....Mmmmm good, what a chef!!

They deserve each other....

Actual numbers say otherwise.

Question is: Who's supplying those numbers?

If this is what a bounce looks like someone needs to retry. Perhaps this time they'll inflate that ball.

I think the comment about "Sports being like politics" was said with a humorous tone. He probably should have said we are making progress. He was not the first President to use a little exaggeration and he won't be the last. Does anyone remember a recent President and his Vice President saying a victory in Iraq was definite in a few months (after the initial invasion) and have a "Mission Accomplished" banner when he gave speeches. Then the war continued several more years! Or does the Gal from the South have a short memory?
