Can we turn the heat down a little, and discuss the issue and not each other's POV.

[quote=mbmouse;1738539]Well then don't read the posts or the thread if you are firmly set in your views and do not want to discuss the issue. What if I were to say I want you to stop pushing your views of pro-choice on me?[/QUOTE
I guess you aren't firmly set on your views
and want to "discuss" the issue?
I never push my pro-choice issue on anyone, I am just staing my belief, as you are stating yours. Problem is anyone is free to have as many kids as they want, but anti-choice people are trying to take a LEGAL option away from women, all women. NO ONE IS FORCING ANYONE TO HAVE ABORTIONS.

Why should they not have a say in it??

yeah right, LOL
that is totally untrue. They just give you all the options, one of which is abortion.

You are correct and I apologize. It just really upsets me when people who have no children, know no one personally that has been faced with the abortion decision calls a life nothing more than a choice. It is kinda like going to the polls without knowing who is running and just pushing buttons for the fun of it. You are right though, I should not get so upset about it, thanks for the check, I appreciate you.

Yes, that is why this is listed in bold in on there web page under the heading "I am pregnant, now what" and yes this is a direct quote from planedparenthood.com
"Beware of so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" that are anti-abortion. These fake clinics advertise free pregnancy testing to lure women into their anti-choice agenda."
Sure, with public statements like that planed parent hood is all about the education of options.

You are not the first person I have heard say that about PP.
I think they should require anyone who choses to have an abortion for a "choice" reason (not medically necessary) to watch that new documentary listed at the top of this thread. And for those who will call that some form of punishment, no, those of us who have had children are shown a video of birth before we give it, why not show the abortion process before it happens? Seems fair and would educate for sure.

Just because someone does not have their own children, doesn't mean they do not know women that have been faced with making the decision to continue an unwanted pregnancy. Neither does it mean they don't know about adoptions, I personally know several people that have been adopted. In fact, if I ever wanted to be a mother, I would adopt, rather than having children myself. Why not take care of those already here, before making new ones.
The bottom line however is that we each have a different views on a variety of issues and nothing will change that. Abortions will never stop, they have been around forever and will continue to be, legal - or not.
