Maybe in your county an 11 year old girl is considered a "woman" but not in my neck of the woods. Try to stay on topic.

It IS on topic - you said they should have "liberal" access to contraception

One school district in, I believe Illinois, is going to decide if they can give out contraception to 11 + year olds - and, they are going to vote on it tonight

As a retired professional who worked with adolescents, it was very clear that we were not targeting the younger females who were already engaged in sexual activity. The young women definitely needed sexual consultation and counseling.

If a young, developed female is having sex, yes, contraceptive use is imperative. It is this contraceptive information that will contribute to a decrease in abortions.

Bottom line is, you fight your fight I will fight mine. My mind can't be changed and neither can yours.
Bottom line: You're wasting your time since the only thing limiting access to abortion does is increase the number of "unsafe" abortions, and not "total number of abortions."

** It DOESN'T make the abortion rate go down when you outlaw or restrict "why" people can have abortions**

You want to know what will help reduce the abortion rate? Economic empowerment. But heaven forbid tax dollars be spent on empowering women and the working class! Better to spend money enforcing "anti-abortion" laws and campaigns!

"Priorities?! Priorities, where are you?! I think you may be lost!"

"They", as a pronoun, was used to replace "women". The thread has not been about availablility of contraceptives to children. Nice try though!

In my middle school an 11 year old girl was caught having sex with a 13 year old boy in the restroom.

No report on whether contraceptive was used.

And with young women and men coming into maturity earlier and earlier, sex is more prevalent among 10, 11, 12 and 13 year olds.

Au contraire. One can have empathy for someones situation but it doesn't change the fact that it is ending a life. The empathy for the innocent unborn is often forgotten.

I'm afraid that there is still right and wrong and black and white even though it isn't in vogue in or PC societey.
