you can also think that if it happened, then blue states would have not much food or water to stuff their faces.

You realize that most Europeans believe in a God or higher power? About 75%+. Don't mistake "going to church" with "believing in God".

Without the red states, we could finally move forward with wind, solar and nuclear. So no, we wouldn't need you.

California produces most of the nation's produce. And the blue states are the drivers of the modern-day economy (iPads, smart phones, Linux, nanotech, etc.).

You can't sell soybeans and cotton forever, my friend.

That's leave the Calif strip from about SF to Mexico; Chicagoland, the Wash DC to Boston corridor, that's it. folks being "blue".

Are you a moron or do you realize Brazil has one of the largest wealth gaps in the world?

The reason why poverty has improved is because the mountainside slums have finally received things like power and protection from the police. It is not like all the people who live in those slums are all of a sudden gaining wealth. They are just getting their living standards on par with any semi civilized society.

Brazil is the perfect example of how Government meddling and Crony Capitialism create gigantic wealth gaps.

http://www.ibtimes.com/latin-america...erty-un-752885

While Latin America has made great strides in reducing poverty in recent years, paradoxically, the continent
has witnessed a sharp widening of the income gap between the rich and the poor.

According to a study by the United Nations Agency for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat), on average, the wealthiest 20 percent of Latin Americans earn 20 times more than the 20 percent at the bottom.
