Your neighbors will join you if they want to.

If you're way of life is so unattractive and fringe that you're having trouble convincing people to VOLUNTARILY live the way you want them to live, then too damn bad. Don't expect the government to do it for you and to promote your FAILED, stagnant and abhorrently oppressive lifestyle.

Every child deserves a shot to reach their full potential. Growing up in the kind of religious cult compound like existence that you appear to espouse is dangerous to children, and stunts their intellectual, social and emotional development.

Watch the film, "Jesus Camp":

Child abuse, through and through.

The Amish have no hospitals or universities, because they eschew such things in favor of just being religious.

There's an inverse relationship between religiosity and scientific and cultural innovation. The middle east is exhibit A in this respect.

Religious brainwashing stops a thinking brain, dead.

Not necessarily as some of the most famous scientists were Christian (James Clerk Maxwell who was a role model for Einstein himself and gave credit of his success to God). The problem is not the religion in itself because if it was then there wouldn't be a religious following scientists. Religion is meant to help you better yourself and better other people. Setting good examples and trying to convince others to follow a similar path in its essence.

To be fair, if the deity of Christianity would come down to earth and see what is happening. I really think he would be angry and call them imbeciles because they are doing it wrong. Then again, he's not saying.

The American Conservative Movement is on the losing side of history. This past election is just an indicator or how far out of step they are with the rest of the country.

Unfortunately, here in the US there are religious fanatics who have co-opted the word "conservatism."

The GOP lost because it was being run by extreme Fundamentalists who clouded the message of fiscal responsibility, prudent investment, reducing the deficit ... with all that nonsense such as staunch opposition to abortion even in cases of rape and incest, restricting women's reproductive freedom, arrogant denial about damaging the environment, and their seething hatred and bigotry against the LGBT community.
Based on rants from conservatives recently they have seething hatred against anybody that isn't a White Christian.

That is funny. Thanks for the laugh. Conservatives do not support Obama. Your conservatives are center-left.
