Why do high-school educated whites lean Republican?
I'm hoping for answers from the people I've described or from others who are truly in touch with them and genuinely understands their perspective.
I know that while high-school educated whites lean Republican, many still vote Democrat, especially if they are union members. So another question is, is the pro-union stance the only reason they vote for Democrats?
I live in an industrial city in the midwest. Many of my friends are white and never went to college. Most of them are republicans for any 1 or more of the following reasons:
1) They served in the Military, put their butts on the line in Iraq/Afghanistan and are very patriotic and pro-American!
2) They believe in God, go to church and therefore refuse to vote for a morally degerate party that supports baby-killing, promiscuity, gender confusion, laziness and then has the nerve to ask hard-working citizens to pay for all that debauchery!
3) They listen to hard country music, eat meat and drive Fords and Chevys and despise the liberal PC agenda to kill american culture and force us to all drive ugly priuses, eat organic veggies and listen to crappy, watered-down pop-country music and other forms of crappy commercialized/sanitized pop music!

In other words, if your military or former military, pro-America, patriotic, don't believe in abortion, same sex marriage, or low taxes, then there is no place for you in this country and you should either leave or die.
they don't want to be democrats because there are too many minorities in the democrat party i guess.. they're anti-democrat dixiecrats turned republican: basically confused people. that's why. other than that, they don't want too many government programs that take money out of their income, so they vote conservative. too bad the conservatives don't pay them well in the first place plus run up the deficits worse than any democrat. that's what they don't see.

We want to limit government programs because they encourage dependence on assistance rather than inspire success and self-reliance. We want to help people get out of poverty while Democrats want to pay them to stay there.
Your probably talking about football and basketball colleges, you not talking about colleges where academics outweigh sports.
You must be referring to pissant liberal arts colleges. Don't confuse liberal arts with education. The places where real world people get educated have both academics and athletics.
Because the opposing party wants to ship the members of their ethnicity back to Africa.
