Why do high-school educated whites lean Republican?
I'm hoping for answers from the people I've described or from others who are truly in touch with them and genuinely understands their perspective.
I know that while high-school educated whites lean Republican, many still vote Democrat, especially if they are union members. So another question is, is the pro-union stance the only reason they vote for Democrats?
maybe because they understand something that liberals and democrats dont understand.
maybe they understand that they do not need goverment to be there for them, and that they can make it on their own without goverment aid. something that college educated people might believe in, especially after goverment loans and goverment aid for more college.
We want to limit government programs because they encourage dependence on assistance rather than inspire success and self-reliance. We want to help people get out of poverty while Democrats want to pay them to stay there.
don't blame it all on the democrats, because the republicans want
to keep the rich all cushy by not taxing them enough and then
getting YOU to pay for it, so gather that in your thoughts.

Interesting idea but if you look at the average income of those without a college degree, around $30k in this country, they are getting back far more in government services than they pay in.
Obviously, there are individuals who make much more than that, but we are talking about the behavior of the high school educated as a group. So at 30k a year, you pay very little in taxes, and get more in government services than the average college graduate. Seems odd.
Most republicans I know dont like CEO's or the rich any more than the average Dem. They are are for a smaller more streamlined Gov. Most Rep. I know believe that the Fed should operate on a bal. budget and stick to it.
