As we continue as a republic there will undoubtedly be increasing acceptance of women and minorities in positions of power who will be judged on their abilities instead of being shunned for their color or gender. The eighteen-year-olds coming along don't practice the bigotry that put Karl Rove where he is today. They will vote on the merits of the candidates.

In about three more election cycles the base of the GOP and especially the Tea Party will start to decline rapidly in number due to the death of its members, and, as Lyndsey Graham said, there aren't enough angry old white men coming along to refill the ranks of the GOP. Their demise as a viable organization will open a slot for a new party to fill. I probably won't be around to see it, but I have every confidence that my children and their peers will create something greater than we can imagine.

I wish them well. They will look back at clips like this and laugh then as much as I am now, and it's a good thing.

can we get rid of affirmative action at that point? you know the practice of giving things to those that only deserve positions because of skin color? since at that magical moment you speak of they will have gained mysterious abilities to compete without a handicap

ok point taken spoken by him. It is true that GOP politicians often put their foot in their mouth. However if you think racial practices are only by " old white men" you are sadly mistaken.

Even in Venezuela , Cuba and Brazil racial bigotry is common. Bigotry is practiced by Americans other than white also .

Free thought or individual stances are often brought to wrath by progressive democrats when it isn't in step to their platform, it has been shown by them time and time again when a person be they black or someone typically a *minority* disagrees with that platform that they are labeled sell out uncle Tom or such slander.

ok cuebald you didn't call me a racist but you also didn't address my point about our debt either. do you have children? Do you realize what our debt is going to make their lives like? How it affect their ability to find a decent job or own a home? Do you even care or is the only thing you give a damn about insulting conservatives on blogsites?

To be fair Bush added trillions to our debt too. He's no better than Obama. they both ought to rot in hellto what they have done to this nation.

Ok relax I'm not assuming, it was a light-hearted joke. What I did assume is that he may be typing from a phone.

You're right TD. Hopefully what has changed is maybe, possibly the 2 parties might try to work together.
