So they get no underpants.

Stop it! My gut hurts from laughing!

I feel for them. I've been through a home-totalling, life-changing disaster. Trust me 100% when I say FEMA is worthless. Anyone who depends on or waits for help from the government is dumber than a box of pebbles. I would help them if I could. But damn..........if they're dumb enough to think the feds are there to help them, well........they're starting to wake up!

When I lost everything, a couple of Red Cross ladies went to Penny's and bought me some new underwear and paid out of their own pockets. Seriously. And shoes, shorts and t-shirts.

They are truly clueless. According to these arm-chair quarterbacks, better that people should be out risking life and limb dodging fallen power lines and the like.

It absolutely sickens me the lengths they will go to try to score political points.

""With winds picking up to 30-, 40-, 50-mile-per-hour gusts," he added, "our fear is that if people are out and about they could be hit by flying debris. We would urge people to stay in their houses, stay home, and let the storm pass.""

Oh nice, a phone call from a "home security" company offering free installation due to the "rising crime following the hurricane". I told her thanks, but no thanks, my home is protected by the 2nd Amendment.

Very good point. President Obama should have been out front personally shoveling the snow as it fell.

IT'S THEIR JOB!!!!!

Our police and firefighters put themselves in harm's way every day BECAUSE IT IS THEIR JOB! You think FEMA workers are volunteers?????

Let me add to that, in my neck of the woods, the fire departments are ALL volunteers and they have been working night and day around the clock to help flood victims. The fire whistles haven't stopped.

What folks did they leave "stranded?"

The shelters are not closed.

They didn't move anything? They moved their relief workers (their most valuable asset) to safety, that way they don't have to use resources rescuing their relief workers.

It seems like common sense to me that you don't want to further hamper the relief efforts by putting valuable resources at risk.
Psssssssstttttttttttttt: A little snow is not life-threatening.

If you believe in climate change then prepare for more out of the blue disasters like this.
I don't believe in climate change. It has been changing from the time before the Bible was written. The Bible is full of natural disasters. Nothing new under the sun. Al Gore thinks we create the weather. He is wrong! If anyone can control the weather it is God's natural laws .

The bible is clear, the sun shines on the just and the unjust , it rains on the just and the unjust. It is an occurrence that we have no control over. We must prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
