"State Rep. Derrick Smith defended his re-election to the 10th District at a news conference this morning, chiding those who say he only received the votes because he’s a Democrat.
He said that point of view is “misinformed and insulting to the people of the district that voted for me.”
“I was elected because I went out and talked to the people… I have the relationship with the constituents of the district,” Smith said.
In August, Smith became the first lawmaker tossed out of the Illinois House in more than 100 years, before he was re-elected on Tuesday in his West Side district.
He was arrested a week before the March primary in a federal sting and charged with taking a bribe in return for recommending a state grant. Smith pleaded not guilty."
It isn't the people of Illinois it's the parasite class of Chicago. Just like it is the parasite class of Philadelphia, Newark and New York.

As far as the results of election how can anyone be surprised by this? We have allowed millions of illegal immigrants to move here, raise families and now we are surprised they have taken over?
Why is anyone surprised by the results when we have allowed anyone to vote? Allowing anyone to vote is invites national suicide.

BUTNER — Recent stepped-up voter registration efforts at state mental hospitals and facilities for the developmentally disabled resulted in the registration of Wendell Justin Williamson, who in 1995 killed two people in Chapel Hill and was judged not guilty by reason of insanity.
Election records show Williamson, a patient at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, was registered on Sept. 13 as an unaffiliated voter. He cast an absentee ballot that was accepted Oct. 15 by the Granville County Board of Elections.
