If the president can order his people to refuse to follow the law, as it concerns Obamacare, immigration, drug laws... Can he not also simply ignore election law? If the president is free to ignore the law... then why have laws?

What's actually different about Obama is that no other POTUS has ever illegally and unconstitutionally bypassed Congress to alter immigration law in order to pander for votes.
Bear witness to the truth. The same Congress that has held up confirmation of federal judicial appointments, and cut government funding through "sequestration" - not to mention shutting down the government - is now blaming the President for not enforcing the law. It is the Congress that is to blame. It is the Congress that has failed to act. Now see the results. It is most acute in the southern border states that handle a large volume of drug and alien smuggling cases. What we are seeing now is a triage in which a rather large number of cases will not be prosecuted solely due to budgetary constraints. And, who holds the purse strings?

United States, 272 U.S. 52...and re-enforced in See INS v. Chadha, 462 U.S. 919, 942 n.13 (1983) and Freytag v. Commissioner, 501 U.S. 868 (1991). So yes, other presidents have done it and it is codified into law for a long time.

If the majority of American people don't stand up - then nothing will be done. We are the government.
As long as Obama's party controls the Senate, he can continue to break the law with impunity. Vote them all out of office and put the next bunch of syncophants on notice to be more representative of the people or lose their jobs before they can get filthy rich.
