We'll see.

He was one of the guys *bidding* for Obama's Senate seat and but for the leak that ended the investigation abruptly and just netted Blagovich....he would have gone to jail for that one.

Funny how the connected people manage to get away with felonies......

FYI- Before anyone starts complaining about dems or republicans, his seat would never go republican so it's not like this would have any bearing on house seats etc. It's purely a disservice to his constituents, opponents and basically any sense of fair-play.

If there's a plea deal, do you think it will be a lesser charge, such as a misdeneanor?
It's difficult to comprehend how he received 70% or so of the vote. ain't it?

They need to build a special Prison just for Chicago Politicians.

Hard to say, but I will fall out of my chair if he faces anything serious so whether it's a fine or misdeameanor etc. it's kinda moot in my mind.

Name recognition and the backing of the machine. If the machine wanted him out they would have shifted the votes they control to one of his rivals and shown him the door.

True story, years ago when first running for office his dem rivals got a homeless guy on the ballot named jesse jackson to try to confuse voters and split the vote. He was removed from the ballot due to protest prior to the election but it was funny as heck Chicago politics at it's best.

Remember the Florida recount of 2000 with Gore and Bush?

High irony that Bill Daley was Gore's official representative in the recount and investigate fraud.

That's like having Lance Armstrong heading a doping inquiry.
