well, YEAH!
Petraeus admitted it in his own words. If the relationship had been only platonic, he would not have said the things he said. ...and for a fact, having prostrate cancer does not always mean treatment leaves a man impotent. Any oncologist will tell you that. You gotta start giving up the lumpage, kid.
Remember it was the woman in the affair who brought about the attention from the FBI in her emails to another woman, thought to be a rival. A platonic relationship does not often cause so much anger and hatred, but sex sure does, all the time. Broadwell may have been the aggressor in this affair, but the good General was still fully able to stand at attention, cancer or not.

Maybe she was worried the other woman would write a book about him, too.

No, the affair, or affairs as we may learn the case to be, was not "irrelevant". It's likely he violated military law if the affair took place before he resigned to become DCIA. And for the time period after he became DCIA, he created a situation which called into question his vulnerability to extorsion/blackmail, etc. He exercised very bad judgment.

According to news reports, Paula Broadwell, the woman with whom Gen. Petraeus was having an affair, become incensed when she suspected that yet another woman (Jill Kelley) might be attracting Petraeus into having a romance with her.

Does anybody besides me, find that peculiarly funny?
You're late to the game. Other discussions are dealing with this.

Well considering how long he was having the affair in private... Duh!

Not really surprising. Homewreckers are always stunned when they end up getting cheated on.

I think it is funny that this is phrased as "Woman who got Patreus to cheat". Like this guy is some victim here that had to be convinced?
