She's the minority leader. Basically insignificant in the scheme of things. She has ONE VOTE. So what difference does it make to you? You don't live in her district anyway.
OP wanted someone to cry with, let 'em all whine together.
Proving beyond a doubt that the democrats have no interest in bringing the country together, being bi-partisan or compromise. If they did there is no way they would allow one of their most divisive "leaders" to remain in charge of the party. If Obama really wanted to work with Republicans he would have told her to step down.
I am an independent and find myself often in agreement with democrats, but have a hard time understanding why they support Pelosi. It's the democratic equivalent of Newt. Why not promote people who can reach out to the other side? (Anyway, there are so many things I don't get about our political system)...

They support Nancy because she's an effective whip, which is really the only role of the House minority leader in any case. She knows how to marshal her troops and keep them marching in step.

That's already been tried, even w/pelosi, and it didn't work. Obama's problem is that he is much too reagan-ish, he needs to step up and show what a true democrat is. He needs to dump the pragmatism, and stand his ground.

She just announced she's staying. Did you see her speech ? She literally must have dementia and makes very little sense. Nancy - you don't have the gavel any longer even if you say you do.
The Democrats in the house should be embarrassed this lady is their leader. She will just obstruct any compromises that need to be worked out.
Pelosi is intentionally divisive. Her smug little "rub it in your face" speeches at podiums applauding the absence of a certain racial demographic on certain committees, among many other examples, are all that is wrong with our country.
She is the type of politician we all supposedly despise, yet, as long as she is on your side, it's ok.
I'll tell you what, lets lock her and her equally divisive moron associate of hers, John Boeiner, in a room together until A: they fight to the death, or B: both promise to retire from politics.
Unfortunately, we all know, the only thing that would accomplish is some awkward old people sex, and she'd probably write him a check for 12 dollars afterward.
I'll bet you one thing....Boeiner would be the first one to cry.

Pelosi is more divisive than 0bama, if possible. She really should retire, for her health if nothing else. All that botox to get rid of the worry wrinkles can't be good for her.
I'd rather have Steny Hoyer as minority speaker, but ehh, it is what it is.
