We are hearing a lot of talk about how the GOP will end up in the electoral wilderness if it doesn't reach out to minorities. Maybe so but another less talked about dynamic of this election is that Romney improved his standing among Whites in solidly Blue states. Of course not enough to flip them but one wonders if the Dems become more firmly known as the multicultural homosexual party will more Whites, in particular those in diverse states continue to shift to the GOP?

Not if 2012 is any barometer. If you didn't notice, Dems kept the White House, kept the Senate, and would've taken the House if not for gerrymandering.

How many white people who wouldn't vote for President Obama in 2008 and 2012 would be perfectly willing to vote for a White democratic candidate in 2016?

Mitt, like Reagan, won white males by 18%. Unlike Reagan, only Ann heard Mitt's acceptence speech.

Whites were 88% of 1984 vote, 72% now (81% in 2004), under 70% by 2016, under 65% by 2024.

By the way, W won 44% of Latino vote. Huckabee won the votes of almost 50% of minorities his 2nd election.

To get anywhere near that, the GOP needs a centrist platform. Running a new face with the old agenda means every presidential election will get worse for the GOP.

Democrats have won the last 5 out of 6 popular votes for the President, and they even won the popular vote this election for the House, but Republicans were successful at gerrymandering.

If any party should be concerned about getting votes, it is the GOP.
