I think the number of those who didn't have insurance for one reason or another was around 30 million.

Could all our honorable gentlemen and women in Congress not have put their brainy heads together and come up with a plan to take care of those people? Did the HAVE to craft a bill that was so long that nobody could read it prior to voting?

Would that not have made far more sense?

Congress? --- An emphatic NO, I do not think they could have put their (brainy?) heads together and come up with a plan to take care of people. They haven't been able to put their heads together and come up with anything the past few years.

Agree with that, except that if they really were honorable and interested in serving the people, they could and would do that!

So then, do you think they came up with anything good in Obamacare?

I think Obamacare will make it so that 30 million currently uninsured citizens will finally have access to healthcare. So, yes, I would say that is good. (how could that NOT be good?--)

And by not allowing insurance companies to deny coverage to someone with a pre-existing condition, or to put caps on reimbursement for an illness, or to cut off someone's coverage when they become ill --- yes, I think that's good. (how could that also NOT be good?)

Individuals will not be bankrupted simply because they or a family member has a serious illness. (how could that NOT be good?)

OK, now truly, someone tell me how these things are NOT good?

Are you in the collectibles business or just fascinated by feeling right-minded and smug?

Life was better before everyone was convinced that everyone else whom they disagreed with needed salvation.

What did Jerry Springer & Oprah do for you other than refer you to 'experts' to cope with health-concious guilt?

The ACA is not what alot of people wish it to be- some of that legislation even had support some time ago but the intent was to pass an omnibus bill. Why? To ensure acceptance by enough people to get it implemented.

I don't get it: So many in support of this mess of a bill dislike corporations. How do you really feel knowing that since the healthcare industries crafted it they wouldn't come up with something not in their best interests?
