I was looking over information (articles, videos, etc) about a Military Contractor named "Black Water" and couldn't help but to think this should be illegal. They may get the job done since they have no limits as a regular troop has but at the same time, but those limits/restrictions need to be in place to avoid any further conflict.

Here's a short video on Blackwater, its rather disgusting if you ask me.

Blackwater, America's Private Army - YouTube

I don't believe this is just the liberal in me that says we shouldn't have private armies, but also it seems though the constitution in some way should bar that from occurring. I don't even know how conservatives would feel about this, but hopefully this is something we can find common ground on and disagree that they shouldn't be allowed.

Agree 100%, NO private entity should profit from war or prisons. It is a no end game and mockery of our society.

There are a lot of private owned prisons in the rural south. I went to college with one owner and know him on a personal basis. This seems to be a trend down in that part of the U.S..

Absolutely not. I didn't watch the video because I've already read a great deal about Blackwater. It is mind blowing to me that we allow a non Federal private army we can't control to exist on US soil.

We also pay a lot more for those private contractors than we do salaried government employees. A senior Blackwater manager [of a security team] makes more than our top military generals. That is insane.

The entire idea of downsizing the government by moving positions over to contract employees is one of those asinine half-baked ideas the American populace is grossly uninformed about.
