Unfortunately, for large groups of the Palestinians and others in that part of the world, terrorism is culturally acceptable, even heroic. Oh, and they think Israel shouldn't exist.

Irael is capable of defending itself, but not without our help.
Actually, I disagree on this. Israel is perfectly capable of defending itself, with or without our help, which they have proven many times since 1948. The reason I feel that we need to be involved in any military action that Israel takes is because without outside intervention the aftermath is going to be Ugly. The Israelis aren't known for forgiveness, and I seriously believe that any nation or organization that tries to take them on in a serious military conflict is going to be looking at the distinct possibility of non-existence.
We need to be involved in order to keep the Israelis from going overboard on their retaliation, quite frankly.

The typical scenario for peace is when both sides put their weapons down. It probably takes more bravery and intelligence to do that than either party is willing to muster at this time.
If Palestinians or Syrians or any other Arab faction wants to lob missiles into Jerusalem then I think the Israelis should take the opportunity to level that big golden dome. Maybe then the big m.o. will comeback and land on that rock... or maybe they'll find Jesus standing there, smiling.
