After almost 8 years of fouling the entire thing up, your boy Bush tossed it into Obama's lap. One more big mess Dubya left for the next guy to clean up. He was real good at turning things into disasters.
Keep making excuses for him. Im sure the families and loved ones of those killed and maimed under obamas watch appreciate your efforts.

I'm sure they all know who started and then horribly mismanaged that quagmire.

Even if you'd never admit it.

We should have been out of there in 2005.

How dare you pretend to know how they feel, but that is the liberal in you I guess.
Bush should have been out in 2005 but youll cut obama slack for two more years?
I was against the wars from the start, you on the other hand are okay with the foot draging now that obomba is running the show.
The hypocrisy is shameful.

Spittle-spewing irrational hatred tends to cloud the memory a little.

I think it is a bad idea to leave Afghanistan after invading without having properly secured a stable government that is at least not antagonistic if not altogether friendly with the US. Afghanistan as a terrorist haven directed towards American people and interests was a bad thing (maybe we shouldn't have gotten involved with the Soviet-Afghan conflicts which laid the bedrock for this (tangential: do you remember Rambo III?)) and to have it continue as such as a bad thing as evidenced by terrorist attacks targeting the US in the past. We do have to get the hell out of there and it would have been much easier had we not been involved with Iraq whatsoever, but I don't think a sudden withdrawal in its current state is going to be conducive for both moderate/progressive Afghani forces nor would it be good for Americans in the long term.
