I dunno, I guess "offend" is a bit of a strong word. I don't care that much about you, and honestly, even your insults need work - you seem very proud of yourself, but the effect is more pathetic than biting. I would have to say that you're a classless boor, based on the evidence that you have presented. But that's you're right. I'm sure I would never see someone like you working in a professional work environment around me anyway...you would never even get in through the door.

You are wrong on so many levels. Its hilarious.
I'll just reiterate, as an adult you can say what you want to say just deal with the consequences. In the modern world, it is against the law while at work to insult someone on the basis of their race, gender, religious beliefs, etc and so on.
Not only that because of the legal liabilities, nearly every employer has rules specifically prohibiting those types of exchanges.
For the last time you can say what you want to say, you just don't get to dictate the law, your employer's rules, or people's reactions to what you said and the consequences that follow.
No it is NOT. And to continue to say it is, does not make it a fact. Unless it is severe, and becomes harassing, it is NOT against the law.
Wow... a lot of people in this thread are setting themselves and their companies up for lawsuits.
Because harassment is a point of view. YOU may think it's harmless, but do you really know what every single person thinks? Especially those who are being harassed?
My co-worker and I were chatting about stuff one day when Sam (African-American) stopped at her desk for something. Sam was a real jerk - would have been no matter what ethnic background he was. At any rate, I said something about having to deal with something by working on it manually. "Oh," he said, "Is that like 'manuel' labor??" (I'm Hispanic.) I promptly shot back, "No. It would be more in line with slave labor Sam." Boy, did his head pop up at that comment - and I'm thinking, "Yup, just go into HR, you piece of work." He evidently decided not to, as I was never called in. Of course, I didn't say anything to HR about him either - but in the years I worked there, I was probably about the only one who didn't.
No, never, but the woman who sits close by was told to start wearing a bra. I dont know who reported her, but I agree that in a professional workplace you can't just wear (or not wear) and say whatever you want. The company has the right to make and enforce their own rules.
