All to promote a greedy corporation and their corporate fatcat cronies..... Grr......

It's not even a life critical thing.

No one is forcing you to watch the parade. It has been a Thanksgiving tradition for years, its not going anywhere

I'll only add to this idiotic thread: Most workers volunteer for this duty.

I worked at a company that had a presence at the parade years ago and there was a waiting list for volunteer slots.

I guess the same could be said of spending o providing internet also..So much mioney spoend to promote it by comnaies and so much taxpayer moeny spent to regulate it. Think of the chilkdren who are exposed to it and their families workig to keep it going,

Liberty is the liberty to do whatever the hell you want to do, when you want to do it as long as you don't hurt someone else.
The optional stuff in life is often what makes life worth living. If that means hauling a big balloon around for someone, what does that matter to you, anyway?
