I married a robot. (News Article)
I realize Tipper did it, but....
Do you think there is a reasonable chance this could happen in the future and what objections/concern might arise?

It's is simply a great solution for those people who aren't good enough looking to get married and have no other desirable traits in their personalities to make up for it, such as a delightful sense of humor. Some homely people are also so excruciatingly boring. But a robot could be programmed to not hold that against a person. So I'm 110% for marriage with robots in the future. Bring it on!
Not brought up in the article is that robots by mid century will likely be advanced enough to perform most jobs humans do today. So what to with all the laid off humans in the future? The options will likely be a big political issue.

And there's the old classic about the 'Cherry 2000', the perfect woman. I like my women beefy... I'd go for the Big Box Hummer.

Good for lonely people, I suppose.
But since robots can't consent to marriage, the state could never recognize the marriage.

Yes, they'd have to work out the legal nuts and bolts.

who says there isn't already a little robot luvin going on, I mean look at the picture below. The man can't even bend over to kiss his human wife as his rigid aluminum exoskeleton wasn't designed to flex that way.

Something about that couple must be human, though. They've got a whole passel of young'uns.
