Your links prove Wallace did not win five southern states in 1968? Or do your links prove Wallace was not a bigoted former Democrat Governor? Or do your links prove Nixon did not win those same five southern states in 1972 that Wallace won in 1968? Or do your links prove that southern States did not begin electing Republicans instead of bigoted Democrats after the 1968 election? Like I said, you are not very bright.

Next thing you will try to pull is some BS about bigoted Democrats jumping ship to become Republicans, which is a famous liberal lie.

Nixon did try to appeal to southern racist politicians. I said the Republican Party came up with the Southern Strategy during those years. Go listen to what Kevin P. Phillips said.

That has never stopped a Democrat before. You must be under the gross mis-impression that Democrats actually give a damn about the nation.

As of recent, it isn't just Blacks who have felt alienated. As of recent, more Hispanic and Asian voters, and even many women have felt alienated.

The bigoted politicains were all Democrats. Why would a Republican cater to Democrats for votes?

Nixon won the south in 1972 and carried the rest of the nation by the largest landslide in US history, until the 1984 election. Not because of Democrats, but rather because of Republicans. Southern bigoted Democrats still got the majority of the black vote in the south in 1972 because they were promising other people's money. They just did not win.

Did you vote against Obama because he is black?
And if Hillary gets nominated for President, I wonder:

what women will be called who vote for her
what women will be called who vote against her
what men will be called who vote for her
what men will be called who vote against her

Can you prove that Blacks were after money?

Wow..I haven't hear the term "urban redevelopment" in years and that used to be a top issue.

Just the threat of taking away hard fought rights and privileges.
Was that fear really the driver this go round ?
With regards what was there to talk about? African Americans fully realize that the Republican Party has no concern for civil rights enforcement (see the various voter suppression laws) and that Democrats remain committed to it. As for urban development, what did you think the stimulus was all about?
