Why do you want to tax poor people with poverty-level incomes when you don't want them to have a free market in housing?

I think it has something to do with the utility curve of money. Taking away 10k from a guy making 20k sucks more for the poor guy (cause he only has 10k to survive on) is worse than taking 10mil from a guy making 20mil, (cause he'll still have 10 mil left) which more than "enough" to pay for necessities and many many many luxuries.

What property rights are those? Can you point us to the Article and Section of the constitution that speak to these property rights the Founders intended for you?

Why in the world would anyone in their right mind want to send "MORE" $'s to the Federal Government. They are the biggest abusers of spending in America. No, No, No! The only $'s that should go to the Federal Government should be in the amount of the necessity to:

1. Keep our military the best in the world and that includes the constant research to advance military operations and that also produces most of the fantastic advances we citizens enjoy in our medical world, communications, transportation and on and on. These $'s not only keep us safe from such ilk as terrorists but they also trickle down, if you will, to advancing all of us and giving us a better life.

2. Protect our borders and that includes illegal immigration.

3. Support legitimate research that benefits ALL citizens of America.

4. Only spend $'s in areas that are "WITHIN" the parameters spelled out in our Constitution...that means they (elected officials in D.C.) start understanding that "for the general welfare" does "NOT" mean targeted groups...it means whatever is proposed must benefit "ALL" citizens or it is not constitutional and if necessary must be a State issue.

There's probably a few other areas, but "BO's health care" is NOT one of them. Feds need to stay out of that area...it is a state, county, local area.

Latest IRS Federal Individual Income Tax Data

Where do you liberals keep getting all of your false data? Serious question.
That 68.3% has to be spread out among 95% of the population. Most of these people have to spend almost all of their money just to live. So it's not like they control this money. They have to pay bills and mortgages and stuff like that. They don't really get to control it they just get to redistribute it. As where that top 5% doesn't have to spend all their money just to live, leaving them some real control of the money. The money that is left - the money that didn't get used up just to live, the money that you can actually do something with divides up about like I said in the first place.

Based on my readings of the Founders and others relevant to our founding (e.g. Locke), I think the Founders considered property rights self-evident and thus not in need of enumeration.

It was not until the 20th century that government crippled property rights, so that certainly was not a goal of the Founders.
