I wouldn't move to any of those places personally. I've visited the Caribbean islands and outside the resorts, they are mostly third world. But thanks for putting forth more of an effort than most liberals do.

I'm not religious, so I could care less about birth control. My initial point is that it is not factual to say that the Republicans were trying to do away with birth control.
I alsodon't like the idea of government telling religious organizations to do things that are against their principles. Birth control is so cheap as a generic drug that this is mostly much ado about nothing.
Who needs white people anymore? The world would be soooo much better off had we not invented electricity, the telephone, the internet or computers.

And the irony is that the vast bulk of the guys who have made this the cornerstone of their identity and thinking are just worker bees all the same as a black guy, Mexican dude, or Asian woman doing the same job. They're no more or less inherently influential than one another and at the end of the day, the GOP could care less about any of them. How many blue-collar, salt-of-the-earth white guys lost their jobs when factories went overseas and the owners of the companies took a nice, big tax break for their efforts?
Said it before and I'll say it again... I'm proud of my heritage. Absolutely proud. That said, my heritage doesn't get out of bed and work for me every day... that's all on me, and it would be all the same if I was any other race. Younger people by and large realize this and think this way; I have more in common with a working-class Asian guy who's into cars or a working-class hispanic guy who likes to cook or a working-class black guy who's into music than a silver-spoon white guy like Mitt Romney who's never had to toil for anything in his life. And you know what? Most of the older white folks who voted for Mitt Romney don't have anything in common with him, either...

The Democrats don't solve issues with all the programs and money they throw at these so called problems and inequality. How is the war on poverty going? The war on expensive college tuition? They can't even wage a war on rich people effectively because rich people are smarter than politicians and know how to keep money in the bank.
While modern society prides itself on being unbiased, it's no exception to the rule that every age has its fashionable prejudices -- and unfashionable people. Among the latter today are white men, and the closer they are to "dead white male" status, to use a favored leftist descriptive, the greater the disdain in which they're held.
Thus do we see sneering at "old white men." Earlier this year, Senator Harry Reid -- one well acquainted through experience with old-white-male machinations -- complained of "angry old white men" who bankroll conservative causes. More recently, the old-white-media paper the Guardian published a piece about America's changing demographics titled, in part, "No country for angry old white men...." Ah, yes, it's not just that they're old, white, and men, that Triad of Turpitude. They're "angry," too. So just dismiss them out of hand, with their agenda born of blinding, irrational hatred. It's another example of projection, from the group (leftists) that makes intellect-clouding emotionalism an art.
It's not racism, they're talking about a specific group of people who happen to be white, like Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and yourself.
So I guess no white male here was offended by that commercial for Cheerios when the wife basically (and smuggly may I add) insinuated her husband was an idiot for not reading the Cheerios box or the commercial for Bourson Cheese where the white boyfriend gets snacks for his girlfriend's party and she snidly remarks "you got it right, THIS time".
The issue isn't about power shifts. It is about how the media mocks white men as stupid.
As a white woman I find this insulting. If I were a white man, I would find it über insulting
I'm a Democrat ~ but as the mother of a teen-age boy ~ I've been in tune with how men are portrayed for a long time. We want our boys to watch strong males on television - not always just the silly man or stupid man.
And I don't always like it ~ the 'little man'; the 'stupid man'. Yes, it has been noticed.
I do think that white men have held a position of power for a long time; and, yes, it is time for equality for ALL. But that doesn't mean we have to marginalize all white men. That's not right either.
What gives me hope is that I believe the backlash is against 'stupid white men' as another poster put it. Rush, Hannity, Beck and the like are do not command respect - at least not mine.
My father is an old, white, conservative man. At 91 - it is hard to command a lot of respect. But, he is deserving. He was a good father; a good husband; a good soldier and a good teacher.
The angry old white men are angry because everyone else is living high on the hog off of EBT cards, TANF, Section 8 and whatever other vote gaining scams the Democrats can gin up.
And when everyone else is laughing at them, it's not because anyone is living high on the hog. It's because everyone loves a clown...
