Considering that Bush had a Situation Room built on his Texas ranch, one can logically assume that he was on a more demanding vacation than that of Obama in Hawaii at a villa/resort. But that's neither here nor there.

There President is always on duty, and that's the way it should be viewed.

Air Force One is the away from Washington D. C. White House and the POTUS takes it with him everywhere he's go's....even Hawaii...
