I'll tell you why: ITS HAWAII STUPID!!! See. Washington will be cold, wet, rainy, and/or snowy. Who in the hell wants to spend Christmas Vacation in Washington, when they can spend it in sunny Hawaii, on their OWN PRIVATE BEACH? Best yet, all they have too pay for is the rooms. NOTHING ELSE.

Hell, if someone said to me: Go to Hawaii for Christmas. All you have to pay for is the room and the tax payers of this country will pay for the rest, I'd be all over it and so would everyone else. However, MOST can't afford it. Yet, Obama says how is the "common man." Here for the "common folk." HE ISN'T. He has NEVER worked an honest day in his life.

Obama has no clue what its like living pay check to pay check. How to come up with enough money to pay for their kids braces, clothing, school books, etc. Yet he, and all you other liberal/socialists, complain conservatives are rich and "not in touch." Not in touch IS Obama.

If he was so in touch with the general population and their suffering, he would have his family come to Washington, which would cost MUCH LESS, to the TAXPAYERS, then him taking his whole family to Hawaii. However:

Hawaii or Washington DC during December. Its a no brainer.

And remember, when you are sitting home on December 25th, eating your turkey and a large segment of this population, a population Obummer says are "his people," are freezing their butts off: Obummer will be sitting in the sun, on a private beach, eating filet mignon and lobster. Drinking the best champagne. The rest of us will be lucky to have a turkey and a bottle of Ripple.

But oh yeah, Obummer is for the "common folk." And before all you liberals say: What should he do? How about taking all that 4 million dollars this little vacation will cost us and find 100 families across the United States. Use that money to save their houses from foreclosure. How about that?

But nope, his wife's tan lines are more important then us "common folk."
Rather than wasting my time responding to your above rant ... here is an actual glimpse into how President Obama spends his vacation time in Hawaii:

Since one poster said most the money will be spent on secret service and Air Force One.......sounds like Hawaii will just get the comfort of knowing the President is in "The State".

President Bush came to my town in 2003, for 2 days we were shut off from certain areas of town, the resort he visited was shut down for the day. Most employees were told to stay home and the tourist were not excepted that day. Sometimes it's more of an inconvenience, than a convenience.

President Obama has every right to vacation......... this and partying is what he does best when he's not STILL campaigning.

After all his "BIG COMPLAINT" was.........Campaign Obama: Adding 4 trillion to debt is unpatriotic » The Right Scoop -

In other news, the CBO now says the Federal deficit will hit $1.3 trillion for fiscal 2011.
So let’s see. That makes $1.42 trillion for 2009, $1.29 trillion for 2010, and now $1.3 trillion for 2011, all equaling in total $4.01 trillion in just three years! At this rate he’s not going to just be called unpatriotic, he’s going to be called anti-American!

Um, I notice you failed to mention that the Federal Deficit is FALLING. Maybe you should look at MORE RECENT data - and the overall trend that the last 4 years provide..

2009 (which was still the Bush budget BTW) it was $1.42 trillion,
2010 it was $1.29 trillion
2011 it was $1.3 trillion
2012 looks to be $1.1 trillion.

The fact is the biggest single reason for the rise of the deficit was the REDUCTION in income tax revenue by the US government - NOT an increase in spending - when the Great Recession hit, and that income is now bouncing back, driving the deficit back down. Aside from a marginal increase in 2011, the deficit has been FALLING under Obama and it looks like this year it will be down 22% from it's high 3 years ago.

"The federal deficit fell to $1.1 trillion in the 2012 fiscal year, down from about $1.3 trillion a year earlier, the Obama administration said on Friday.

That is the smallest deficit since 2008 but represents the fourth year in a row that the deficit has exceeded $1 trillion..."

So, explain to me how reducing the deficit by 22% is "unpatriotic" why don't you?

At least the deficit is moving in the RIGHT direction for a change - a LOT better than Bush taking a $127 billion surplus and passing on a $1.4 billion deficit.

The president is coming home early from his vacation to work on the country's business and you have a problem with his family continuing on with plans that should have included him. The pettiness of conservatives these days is unlimited and mean-spirited.
