MOLON LABE: Illinois Senate Defeats Governor

Doesn't surprise me coming from Illinois. I am actually surprised the senate was able to defeat it.

Of all the things that ail Illinois assault weapons isn't one of them.
This idiot Quinn is trying to divert attention away from the state spending itself into the rabbit hole.

Nailed it.

Blago was a big time gun-control guy. In particular I always wondered just why he was so obsessed with getting a ban on .50 cal rifles when he was in US Congress. I don't think there was ever even one criminal misuse of a .50 cal in Illinois. For one thing, they generally weigh over 20 lbs. and cost $5000 or more. Later of course it all made sense. It was pure misdirection by Blago. As long as he was talking about gun control, the press in particular had such fluttering of the heart that they never noticed all the dirty deals he was making behind the scenes.

Chgo pols all master this ploy--Blago, Daley, Rahm, Obama, etc.

In my opinion, all guns should be banned. They only cause more violence.
