I wonder if there's any way to tie this into federal charges not being filed for marijuana legality in the states that have made it legal?

If the state legalizes then the Feds shouldn't charge those in that state for something considered legal.

The divorce rate in the United States is NOT at a historical high -- at least make some attempt to get your facts right before mouthing off.

Not because I disapprove of same-sex marriage, but because it's such a big deal down there. Such commotion. Such brouhaha. So much anger.
Why is the US such a bastion of backwards thinking in this day and age? Why do you have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century?
Someone at work has one of the primary Christian radio news stations on and they are acting like this country is over, and they must pray to keep the rest of their religious freedoms.

Yeah, people really believe their world is ending because of this. Welcome to America.

So, you're saying that straight couples should be allowed the tax breaks and federal benefits afforded to married couples but when gay couples try to claim the *same* tax breaks that is wrong? It sounds like the tax money of gay couples is subsidizing straight marriage in states where gay marriage is illegal. You got it backwards.

When churches start paying taxes, then you can whine about tax payer dollars supporting things you don't like.
