Supreme Court Did not hear[consider] the appeal of Prop 8 proponents...the Lower Court ban on Prop 8 stands.
From SCOTUS Blog:
Quote:
Amy Howe: From the opinion: We have never before upheld the standing of a private party to defend the constitutionality of a state statute when state officials have chosen not to. We decline to do so for the first time here.
This means that those people of faith who believe homosexuality is immoral will be forced to support gay marriage financially. They will no longer be free to live as their faith demands.
How the hell do people support the gay marriage financially?
If I am forced to support gay unions financially while I believe them to be immoral, then my religion is being violated by the government. They are forcing me to support immorality. The government does not use tax-money to support abortion for the very same reason, but I suspect that will soon change too.
No, it is gone for good! The state already struck down prop 8.
They could find someone with jurisdiction to continue the fight back to the Supreme Court.. Will they, dont know..
