Crazy story with these Mormons not giving the kid back like they should. Court ordered ruling says they have 60 days, have raised 20,000 for a legal defense.
They should give that man back his child immediately. They are only causing more damage to the father/daughter relationship by doing this and prolonging their own pain.
That is one of the nuttiest things I have read in a while. Why do the adoptivie parents have 60 days to return the child? This is kidnapping.
Much as I hate to bring it up, I wonder what race the adoptive parents are.
In some cases it is to get the child acquainted with the biological parent if they don't know them before it is full time as it is suppose to be easier on the child.
That agency should lose it's license and I do hope that parent sues them also when all is said and done.

They're probably LDS, which means they're almost certainly white. I don't see what difference that makes, though.
That little girl should be returned to her father immediately, and everyone involved should be punished/prosecuted to the absolute fullest extent of the law. There is no excuse for this.

You're right... there is no excuse for this, but let's stick to the facts and stop making assumptions. You don't know that they're LDS and you don't know that they're white. They could be Buddhists and Asian and it would be just as immaterial. The child should be returned to her natural father, and that's all that really matters.
