This is not setting well with Obama supporters today after she made the comments on Fox News. A lot of people seem to be agreeing with her though according to comments around the net. I believe the problem is that the press, the media & entertainment, and our schools promote the idea that Socialism is better than Capitalism. America will cease to be a nation of free people if Socialism becomes the way America operates.

Plenty of very learned folks are worried about the direction Obama is taking the country, but I don't think Sarah Palin is anyone to give much credence to.

Apparently our schools, the press and the media, can't seem to teach some people the most rudimentary differences between a moderate Democrat and a moderate social democrat much less a socialist.

... and considering how many times we've been over this subject, I can really blame any of them because the students appear to absolutely incapable of absorbing the lessons.

Hey OP, why don't you do a search before you start another inane thread.
There are dozens on the lovely Caribou Barbie.
Any point you want to make has been made and discussed numerous times.

What Sarah Palin has said is unimportant, and we do not hear her words.

Fascists hated Communists. Heck, they saw ALL their enemies to be THAT.

The United States has never been a capitalist country; at one time, it was within reach of capitalism, but it moved in the other direction. We are a socialist (collectivist) country and have been undeniably so since WWII. The only question asked today is "where on the 'middle path' should we go".

Six years and five different colleges to get a degree...oh yeah, that's the genius I'm going to choose to follow.

More brilliant wisdom comes out of Gov. Palin's mouth in an average week, that all the collective mouths of all Liberals, Socialists, Progresssives and Communists in decade, (including the wanna-be trough-sloopers on CD).

Sweden, France, the UK, etc., have been 'socialist' (according to Mrs. Palin's understanding of the term) for several decades, but are still no closer to going full-on Soviet. I wonder why.
