What I find as idiocy is Reid having the nerve to chastise McConnell for not taking his job seriously while Reid has not allowed a budget for the nation to be voted on in over 3 years, used Senate time to speechify about Romney not paying his taxes but refued to produce any evidence whatsoever to support his claim, and tried to defend government funding during a crushing recession for cowboy poetry. That's some pretty bald faced hypocrisy there.
The Dems called Sad Turtle Face's bluff, and he had to retreat.
This kind of buffoonery will be reduced, when the Dems pass filibuster reform. Imagine if McConnell had been forced to stand before the Senate and recite Shakespere for 24 hrs!

Try to stay on topic. This thread isn't about Harry Reid, it's about Mitch McConnell and how his attempt to embarrass the Senate Democrats backfired on him, forcing him into the humiliating move of having to filibuster his own bill.
Can't find anything to say about that, huh? It's understandable--it really does make Republicans look like the idiots they are.

The 2 yr Budget Control Act was voted for and passed in Aug 2011 in spite of what fox tells you.

The Senate Democrats have no shame so they cannot be embarassed, but thanks for playing.

LOL. Yeah, McConnell really was humiliated that badly, wasn't he, Big? I know it's hard to admit, but trying to deflect like that just makes you look pathetic.

Republicans tried when they had the majority.
Now they seem to have forgotten this was their idea.
I suspect it will go nowhere. Then again, while I did not vote for him, I really thought Romney was going to win. I may need a new crystal ball.

You don't see a problem w/ asking for a vote, then filibustering your own request? Could you justify that sequence in any way?
