I honestly see no issue with him getting the transplant.
I personally think that the should field the cost of the surgery and everything, however, I don't have any issues whatsoever with anyone, legal or no, getting a transplant that they require to actually live.
It said in the article that he's been here since age 1. He's a student. I don't see him as much different than a foreign student. He should be given some kind of student visa and then take the steps to permanent residency.
