That particular "affirmative action" program (legacies) has been around a long time. That's why I can't get all worked up over some other forms of AA.

The Talk of the Town: Dept. of Aptitude (w/Alexandra Robbins) : The New Yorker

so, does anyone know if bush voluntarily released any school records and, if so, have any links to show exactly what the documents were?
have no idea about release-vs-leaked or why anyone would even care

but back in 00 and04, the left were trying to make bush out to be stupid, saying he had a ""C"" average, they only stopped when it was found out that Kerry had a lower GPA

this thread...like the birther, and truther and chemtrail threads goes into the catagory of WTFC ""who the f cares""

bush was a "C" student. that's what the yale transcripts showed that the new yorker released in 1999.

the claim that "every president has released their records" comes up constantly in the birther debate. so, i wanted to be sure exactly what was released and by whom.

Well, George W. Bush opposed them.
Bush Opposes "Legacy" Admissions | The Maynard Institute for Journalism Education

Of course, he only opposed them after he used them and reaped their benefits. Back when he wanted to go to Yale, he was all for a legacy admission.

How convenient...

forget the academic records, GWB could fly a fighter jet and Obama can dribble a basketball, honor them according to their strengths.
