"going outside" of experts doesn't mean "using" experts.
actually john woodman, the site's author, is a tea party conservative. if you actually read the link you'd see the physical evidence. it's not a matter of subjective spin. corsi redacted the number on the front not realizing that it could be read on the scan of the back from the bleed thru by simply adjusting the color levels. the number directly contradicts corsi's claim that obama's number is out of sequence. corsi no longer promotes the "out of sequence" claim but has yet to admit he was wrong or that he doctored the evidence. he also hasn't returned the original birth certificate the scan came from to it's rightful owner.
I looked at Woodman very carefully .... read some excerpts from his book (I wouldn't pay 2 cents to that hack for that thing he calls a book), and have read what he's written on his website and some of his responses to comments on his you tube video, and there is one thing clear, he's a pure phony. Oh sure he's a tea party conservative , and he only got interested in this whole birth certificate deal because he was actually believing that Obama's eligibility was highly questionable, so, for curiosity's sake, he engaged in an in depth, 3 month investigation which was the basis for his book that covers everything ... all of the claims and accusations .... what a guy! A marvel and research genius ... where other authors might research a subject for YEARS .... Mr. Woodman dedicated a whole 3 months ... which works out to about 1 day per every two pages of his 200 page book!
What did I see in some of the excerpts of his book, and other comments elsewhere? Same lame tired and worn out Orwellian double talk ... diversion tactics ... circular reasoning ... and rather obvious straw man arguments that he constructs and then defeats. He does what most con artists do ... the primary tool in the "debunker's toolbox" ... he extolls the massive numbers of people who would have to be "in on it" for such a conspiracy to work, which makes such a conspiracy impossible, and for every issue raised, the gratuitous "oh not that again .. that has been debunked long ago" response, which is actually no response at all.
Without going to the laborious effort of highlighting all of Woodman's blatant distortions, let me just highlight one of the more simple to grasp examples for those among the Obots who aren't real bright. In one of the more amateurish and easily defeated examples is the big deal he makes of the coding numbers ... claiming the cold case pose deliberately distorted the evidence, as Woodman shows in his rather detailed breakdown, and then concludes:

This is the response to the penciled in number 9 next to "african" in reference to the father's race, which the Pose' claims that the number 9 meant "no answer given" .. while Woodman insists this means "other nonwhite". PROBLEM .... directly below this entry of Race of Father and the penciled in 9, is labeled "kind of business or industry which was answered University, also with a penciled in 9 (in reference to the preceding question of occupation which was declared "student"). So OBVIOUSLY Woodman is either as dumb as a box of rocks, or he thinks everyone else is, and that no one would notice how answering the question of "Kind of Business or Industry" as "other nonwhite" would make no sense whatsoever.
So, as he identifies himself as a logical, unbiased person who simply allowed the evidence to dictate his conclusions, rather than the other way around ... he actually proves to do exactly the opposite. He's a total hack, and not very good at it either. Some of his tactics are so bad, it shows that he has some connections just to get anyone to publish that compilation of rubbish he calls a book.
