i know you have heard of this. they're trying to ban baggy pants in opa-locka. what the hell is going on in miami? am i the only one who sees this as unconstitutional? today we have to keep our pants on our waist and tomorrow we have to get a hair cut a certain way too...

then you have the people who blame hip hop. uhh, what about those R.A.'s (recent arrivals) who listen to raggaeton and wear shorts so short you can see their ass? or those "preppy" dudes who wear pants who no doubt lower sperm count.

things are getting out of hand.

I think they did this in Boston, too.

But yes, it's a terrible thing. Banning things aren't going to fix the major problems these cities have.

Yet people do not complain when zoning wants to control your lives. People willingly gave up their rights to Government. While I think those baggy pants are ugly along with many of the people who wear them, you cannot dictate the look of people. Trashy inside is bad even if preppy oustide.

You know I understand bans like smoking in restaurants, because of second hand smoke. But this is like we are going backwards in time (back in time when married people didn't sleep in the same bed because it was not proper), rather than forward. Who cares if the next person wears baggy pants or not, it doesn't harm me if someone does. Whats next????

if a police officer tells me to pull up my pants he can expect the finger and it won't be my thumb

The fact of the matter is that those low pants are not a very pleasent look. No one wants to see your underwear. Pull them up or face the consequences.

What consequences? Pleasant to look at or not, that is strictly an opinion and it's not harming anyone physically or mentally.

And just because you're wearing baggy pants doesn't mean your boxers or underwear are showing.

However, cities like Atlanta, Georgia, the whole state of Louisiana, and Boston have tried doing this before, and I don't think it worked, so it wouldn't work in Opa-Locka either.

If you want them to do this then you're probably some fool (I'm not referring to HGON, I'm just saying in general) who wants everyone to look the same and can't handle other's opinions.

I heard it was the pants that are below your a$$ that would be banned. Why in the world would you walk around with your underwear showing? It does not even look comfortable. I have yet to stumble across anyone who thinks this is a good looking fashion statement. It sends a bad message. I for one applaud the ban on this STUPIDITY!!!
