Actually Carter and Reagan wanted to legalize mariquana 30 years ago. The program seems to work quite well in Portugal, legalization, education and penalties for abusers. We will see how the state of Washington woks out. One thing for sure is that the war on drugs has failed.

Prohibition never works....It just creates black markets and helps feed the prison industrial complex.

My solution is leave the dealers alone and arrest all of the users. Same solution for prostitution. Don't arrest the hookers. Arrest the johns. Dry up the business and the profiteers go away. Have drug user and john prisons.

Besides, I'm trying to encourage the drug dealers to use their same "business skills" to segue into selling future banned food and soda. More potential customers, I think.

some people don't know about common sense..the drug wars have failed, it's time to try another method..

i saw a show about a guy in texas that was thrown in with hardened crimminals for possessing a one once bag of weed for five years, the guy got rapped like 50 times and the guards did nothing about it, so when the guy got out of jail he shot the first people he saw in uniforms... cant realy blame the guy.. it's all about money, sending people to jail for marijuana offences, that is..
