But you can't work in a union shop unless you fork it over, can you?

If you hate unions so much, work for a company that refuses to hire them. You want to work for a company that hires unions because of all the benefits, yet you don't want to pay the dues.

Stay stupid tea party

It's your stupid thread and your stupid question...

"How often do you hear righties whine about any industry association?"

Don't get snotty now because you asked a stupid question.

Only a stupid question to people who don't understand it.

I blame our educational system.

Amazing....lefties are acting as if they are against "choice" and "freeloading"!

When the choice is killing a child, they're all in.

When the handouts are for the recipient class, they're all in.

When the "choice" is whether or not you should join their union, they don't want you to have one.

When the handouts are for what THEY bargained for, they are greedy, selfish pigs!

It's a stupid question because it's a rhetorical question that was EASILY refuted.

Nothing wrong with unions, but the company should also be able to fire their butts and get someone in that wants to work. You should also have the option of working somewhere without having to join a union or pay union dues.

the really really odd part is that a lot of the left-leaning union pensions are heavily invested in wall street, like it or not.

CalPERS is to wall street what a whale is to a vegas casino.

I certainly don't agree that a perosn should be forced to join a union in oprder to work at a job of his choosing and pay union dues.I am for freedom of the right to work without such fascist membership being mandatory.
