Over the years I had two jobs that required me to join a union (UAW, IAM).
The only alternative to not joining the union was to not take the job.
If you hate unions so much, work for a company that refuses to hire them. You want to work for a company that hires unions because of all the benefits, yet you don't want to pay the dues.
I didn't vote for Obama, so not sure why you brought up the White House, except that the only thing righties know how to do is insult and bring up Obama.
Stay stupid tea party
It's your stupid thread and your stupid question...
"How often do you hear righties whine about any industry association?"
Don't get snotty now because you asked a stupid question.

How often do you hear righties whine about any industry association? None. I guess unions are good for the wealthy but bad for your average man.
Nothing wrong with unions, but the company should also be able to fire their butts and get someone in that wants to work. You should also have the option of working somewhere without having to join a union or pay union dues.
I certainly don't agree that a perosn should be forced to join a union in oprder to work at a job of his choosing and pay union dues.I am for freedom of the right to work without such fascist membership being mandatory.
