No, I expect that person to either better themselves through career-advancement (yes, that does happen without a college education), or get a college education, or move out of a high cost of living area. It's uttlerly foolish to work in retail/fast food in a high cost of living area and wonder why a person can't make ends meet. It doesn't pass the common sense test and, if anything, should compel the person to do even better with their life.

Well Obama armed the Libyan "rebels". Obama ran arms to mehican drug lords who I call terrorists. I guess that's all Bush's fault though. Actually the funny part is you play your vilify the evil banker or corporation game meanwhile your dear hero is appointing goldman sachs boys to run the entire ship and guys like Immelt. You are quite the useful one.

Today, the OIG reported that the government made a combined $40B in erroneous payments for Medicaid and Medicare services. And yet here we have liberals who seem to worship at the alter of Big Government, who seem to believe that the noble intent of providing a social safety net is all that matters, efficiency, fraud, waste, and abuse be damned. Big Government knows best. Case closed. As long as that loser who refuses to work gets all of his needs covered, nothing else matters.

Roughly 5% of US population are psychopaths, people without consciousness who cannot form emotional attachments and have no empathy for humans or animals, etc. Does it remind you certain political wing, I knew it . There are poor psychopaths and there are rich ones. Both are dangerous for your well-being/wallet, especially rich ones who occupy positions of power and influence. There are plenty of psychopaths collecting "welfare", the other half of psychopaths collect returns on investments etc..

You expect wealth pyramid to turn itself upside down through the power of career advancement and education? That doesn't make any arithmetic sense. For a pyramid to have a narrow top, wider middle, there must be a very wide bottom. For career advancement to improve your lot in life there must be an army of those who stuck on the lower ledges (than you).

And let's say your vision of the safety net is removed. Where is this money and time coming from that would allow them to improve themselves or move to new areas? And when they get to this new area, where are they living? How are they getting around between interviews?

There is nothing impeding you in the US to climb that ladder. Well other than the government. It is easy to blame everyone but yourself. Hell folks are encouraged by liberals to become the "victims" so liberals can feel good about themselves by stealing others money who have put in the work to climb that ladder and hand it out to those they deem less fortunate. Nobody is stuck. They choose to stick. That is reality. Now go find me some off the wall example for us all to feel sorry about and thus make your push to steal others money to give to them sound all nice and good.

And what happened when Obama cut $716B from Medicare through eliminating waste & improving efficiency? What did Conservatives say about that?
