It's no surprise that there are actually folks who don't understand the difference between physical and psychological. No surprise at all.

(They are easy to get and not so hard to register)

We seem to have a nutbar problem .. not a 'mass killing' weapon of choice?
You forgot about the adult in the classroom. You would have to kill him/her first with your rock. This would inevitably lead to cries of terror from the children, which would alert more adults.

But yeah, a rock is just as fearsome as a semi-automatic weapon...

Better to get it over with early. "Everything is meaningless," says the Bible.

They don't lie to their children about being free.

From now on, I think the media should be restricted from showing the names of these mass killers or their pictures because that is what they seem to want. They want to be remembered throughout history. Let's stop giving them this kind of attention and only focus on the victims. This could be a reason why these cowards kill so many people in more shocking ways. Maybe they would kill less or just off themselves if they know that thier name will not go on throughout history.

Heck, it's far more tame than most violent television shows these days. Yes, it has guns but it isn't gratuitous violence and gore.

I'm so over video games being blamed.
Indeed. How preposterous to think that simulating the killing of human beings thousands of times will render some children indifferent to the suffering of others. Preposterous! It's all about the parents!

SOMETHING needs to be done. And, yes, I feel that the NRA and those who believe there should be no oversight and no restrictions on acquiring guns have blood on their hands.
And you have water on the brain if you think a waiting period will somehow thwart gun violence. What the heck are you freaking smoking? Maybe you'd like to explain to us how waiting 5 days will change anything. You are aware of the fact that the Batman Shooter purchased his weapons MONTHS before the shooting, right? Right ?

You and others are reacting IRRATIONALLY as usual for you left wing loons. It's so easy to predict your behavior, and believe me, the politicians know how to play you people like a fiddle.

"If a people want to remain ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, they want what never was, and never will be".

It's way past time for you people to wise up ... and stop thinking counter clockwise.

Obviously you're wrong. It would be trivially easy to put up such a poster. The trouble comes from trying to get the poster to remain, without parent, student, or staff objection and perhaps a lawsuit, and to get its placement approved. Surely you aren't claiming the equivalent approval for bringing guns into school was granted by school administration or the courts?

Which means what to someone who really wants one? It is still easier to get a gun from a neighboring state than it is to get one from a neighboring country (unless the neighboring country is the U.S)

What? Societal mores and values are exactly that. Everyone knows that rape is wrong. Everyone knows that murder is wrong. These are basic "rules".
It's not a matter of interpretation. The 10 commandments are pretty cut and dry.

Where do morals come from? If there is no God, there are no morals or ethics. The animal kingdom doesn't have them, yet we do. Did they "evolve" into us? Not likely, as they wouldn't be necessary for survival of a species. You're a child of God too, and have been created with a value system, even if you choose not to recognize Him.
